DIVISION OF ADMINISTRATION & LIBRARY AUTOMATION 

Introduction

The Division of Administration and Library Automation Division is responsible for administration and management of library staff.

Functions

  1. Taking responsible for assets, inventories and office stationery management.
  2. Managing and taken full responsibility to complete the office facilities for a better working environment.
  3. Managing and taken full responsibility to complete the office facilities for a better working environment.
  4. Managing the filing and lettering system.
  5. Planning and managing the library finance and acquirement.
  6. Managing the maintenance and construction damage complaint at the library.
  7. Managing and making sure that each staff involves in training and workshops to improve professionalism.
  8. Sending letters and memos to all staff and corresponding recipients.
  9. Managing and collecting staffs’ personal information, attendance, leaves and medical treatments records for future reference.
  10. Managing new employment requirements and staff attachment.
  11. Managing the usage of library vehicle and transportation.

Unit

  1. Unit of Digital Library.
  2. Unit of Server and Application Development (SADO).
  3. Unit of Administration (Training & Finance).

DIVISION OF ACQUISITION

Introduction

The Division of Acquisition is responsible for developing the library collection through new purchasing, exchanging and donations. The item received involves printed matters such as books and magazines, and also non-printed matters such as cassettes, videos, and compact discs

Functions

  1. Deciding budgeting for acquisition through purchasing depends on the yearly budget and faculty needs.
  2. Responsible for choosing suitable items for the development of library collections.
  3. Responsible for the development of the library collection through purchasing, donations and exchanges.
  4. Processing received items.

Unit

  1. Unit of Monograph.
  2. Unit of Gifts and Exchange.

DIVISION OF CATALOGUING

Introduction

Division of Cataloguing is responsible for processing all item received by the library by either purchasing, exchanging or donations. This division does the items cataloguing and labeling according to the approved policies and standard. Also done by this division is preparing a storage and information searching system. Other activities are producing indexed and bounded newspaper cutting by it corresponding titles.

Functions

  1. Cataloguing and processing all received items by the library through purchasing, donations and exchanges in a specified time.
  2. Preparing an effective storage and searching system to ease library patron accessing all items available in the library.
  3. Producing indexes and bibliographies to simplify access to the library collections and other sources of information.

  1. Unit of Monograph.
  2. Unit of Special Collection.
  3. Unit of Bahasa Moden.

DIVISION OF ACADEMIC SUPPORT SERVICES & PUBLICITY

Introduction

This division previously was a unit under the Customer Service Division but due to expansion and increment in unit work loads, it is finally became the Division of Collection Development and Management in 2002. Among the activities done by this division are items detection, maintenance and managing newly acquired collections.

Functions

  1. Developing the library collections
  2. Researching the establishment and weakness of collections.
  3. Establishing the library collections.
  4. Managing newly acquired and in-house collection.
  5. Monitoring all of library collections.

  1. Unit of Research.
  2. Unit of Information Literacy.
  3. Unit of Inter Library Loan.
  4. Unit of Reference & Consultation.
  5. Unit of Promotion & Publicity.

DIVISION OF CUSTOMER & COLLECTION MANAGEMENT

Introduction
It is a division that provides all the necessary services to the patrons. Among the services provided by this division are circulations, user educations and also reference and research helpdesk.

Functions

  1. Manages borrowing, returning, renewing and booked items.
  2. Managing the inter library loan procedures.
  3. Managing fines payment.
  4. Managing theses references, electronic databases access, special collection and multimedia items.
  5. Managing training and user education to library’s patron.
  6. Preparing and providing information consultations.

Unit

  1. Unit of Circulation.
  2. Unit of Monograph and Special Collection.
  3. Unit of Serial, Media & Electronic Resources.
